[SATLUG] Mandrake 10 Installation Failing, Any Ideas?

if the CDs are known good (you said you tested on diff machine)

and

you tried multiple CD drives (they can't all be bad can they?)

that leaves potentially (among other things):

-cdrom cable
-ide controller failure(onboard/other)
-bad ram
-motherboard
-bios setup issue (set to failsafe and adjust as needed)
-loose connectors
-jumpers
