I wouldn't characterize linux advocacy as "pushing an arrogant elitist
stance", although I think there is a certain amount of envy among windows
users towards those that have worked their way to a working knowledge
of Linux, which I admit involves a steep learning curve.

The other problem I have is with arguments that defend Windows based
on employment.  Windows implementations often only exist because nobody
in the company knows any better. If you are an employee and don't
help/encourage the company to convert to something better don't whine
about being dependent on Microsoft-centric employment. I am a firm
defender of the technical *fact* that Windows is no match for Linux.

Linux is growing and getting better by the day. There is tremendous
potential in converting. Windows is becoming less of a reasonable option
every day. BTW, my opinion is based on experience, not on religion.
