Borries,
I'm all for Linux advocacy...or else I wouldn't be pushing it where I
work..with great results I might add...
With a little help from Tweeks (bow down to Tweeks for we are not worthy) at
XCSSA I fount ntop and installed it on an old box (installed Fedora in an
hour...finding the right libraries for ntop was
another story) in order to monitor our bandwidth usage to make
recommendations for further expansion...And I'm
sure with that success we'll be able to push for more Open Source solutions.
But, by nature and experience, I am a populist and I believe that if the end
user is NOT considered in
all decisions then we're screwed.
