[SATLUG] Linux packages

Hi Everyone.

I'm somewhat new to the list, but with all the talk about Microsoft and "other stuff" I thought I'd try something different.

For class and at home I've been using pacgen with Debian to create packets with specific bits set (SYN/FIN, etc.) for testing tcpdump filters. Pacgen was fairly intuitive and really helped me grasp tcpdump's syntax.

Certainly there are a million and one packages out there, but has anyone been using, or recently discovered, something that helps make life a little easier?
