For my HP notebook I believe I had to go into the bios and Disable USB
Legacy Support. Hope this helps and good luck!

Subject: [SATLUG] HP Notebook install
I know a HP notebook again. On a RedHat 9.0 install we get a keyboard
lock on the media check/skip. I assume the HP is using a USB keyboard
and using a PS/2 keyboard does not help. I asked the student to come
back during the Linuxfest and I might be able to get a work around from
SATLUG by then. I even tried the, inux text, linux noprobe, linux lowres
with same results. Since the student will be in a class where RedHat 9.0
is used, alternate distros are really not being considered at present.
Knoppix 3.1,3.2 and 3.3 boot perfectly on same machine. Any suggestions?
BTW Fedora gives the same results.
Thanks Boz
