Except labels aren't exactly folders. Instead of falling into some
folder hierarchy, a message can have one or many different labels
associated with it. If you had a one-to-one message-label
correspondence, it'd be exactly like a typical folder.
This is another thing I really like about GMail. With other
folder-oriented progarms, you could only classify your messages in one
way. But with GMail, you can label the same message many times over.
Makes finding something much easier.
