[SATLUG] mysql help

Leif,

I've watched you fighting this for a couple months.  I'd suggest you
just stick with v3.23 FOR NOW.  There are a LOT of basics to learn
before you start getting to the new/advanced features that came out in
v4.x.  By the time you're up to speed on v3.23 and ready for advanced
features in v4.x -- it should be a lot easier to upgrade or install
v4.x.

P.S. -- All the customers whose systems I maintain are using variants of
version 3.  Not a v4.x among them...
