I'll have to agree with this one.  If you want4.x or even the newest
(most unstable) 5.x, grab the src.rpm from mysq.com, then rpmbuild
--rebuild <src.rpm> and go watch a movie.  By the time the movie's
done, you should have your rpms waiting for you in
/usr/src/packages/RPMS/i586, or one of those directories if Redhat
still follows that architecture.  I know that SuSE does.

Might want to check on it from time to time to see if it ran into any
errors.  I use this method, and I've got 4.1.3 running on my SuSE 9.1
Pro server and a 9.0 vmware machine on the laptop.
