I'm wondering if anyone has heard of a Linux Version for the PS2 other
than the Official PS2 Linux Kit from Sony ???

I've been using the Official Linux kit for a while and it's not good for
much else than game development and learning the PS2 hardware.
On the other hand, it's excellent for learning the PS2 hardware and it
got all the obscure compilers for the EE, VPU etc... setup and ready to use.
However the kernel is outdated (2.2.1) and people who wants to use the
USB port have to update the kernel to BlackRhino or Gentoo.
I'm pretty sure these are not even the latest kernels either... ;-)

The problem right now is that Sony discontinued the Linux Kit but there
are people who wants to get Linux up and running on their PS2s
and I hear questions about alternatives all the time.
Does anyone know of an alternative to the official Linux Kit for PS2
from Sony???
