[SATLUG] Router Weirdness

Hey Walt!
What was strange about our linksys... It IS on a UPS. APC UPS500 (good
battery mind you) The vital link to the internet at our District Office is
on a UPS. If the power goes out in the building, I am pretty much the only
one still on the internet. Heh Heh IT staff has priority!
Only the Cable Modem, Linksys, WirelessAP & 32-port 3Com Hub are connected
to the UPS, then my office desktop is on a UPS, and so forth my laptop has
its own battery.
I orginially thought it was a power issue, until I remembered connections to
the internet is on UPS. But I agree, puting your Linksys on a UPS will
definantly clear out power surging issues. Bad power = hardware failures.
Sincerely,

Put the router on an UPS. When I did that to my BEFSR41, the problem of
"rebooting" it went away.
