Never mind... I just found out that the "speed test" sites that I was using
were not fast enough to accurately test my home speed. I just pulled a 6MB
file from my web server at Rackspace (non-throttled) and got 593.6 kB/s
(!!!).

Now that's screaming'!

I know that this is going to peg my xcssa site bandwidth.. but as a public
service, if some of you want to test your speed more accurately against
eachother (and you're local to SA), then pull down this file from my web
server FROM THE COMMAND LINE:
	$ wget http://theweeks.org/tmp/FILES/six-point-4-MB-file.bin

FYI...  My results were:

Avg Down:		592.1 kB/s (~ 5.9 Mb/s)
Avg Up:		44.5 kB/s (~0.445 Mb/s)

Man... I would trade 1Mbps of downlink speed for 500 kbps more uplink speed!

I wonder if RR could be convinced to have a "geek account" that would allow
the geek customer to trade their uplink and dwnlink speeds to optimize it for
their needs. Anyone heard of anything like this?
