Hey, Gang... I've got a friend who -really- wants to be using Linux.
Below are his concerns.
How can I help him?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Geoff, I have about 6 versions of Linux, Debian, knoppix, Redhat, SuSE, etc.
but none of them see all of my hardware. So far, for what I am doing, it is
not worth my effort or time. Believe me, I know Linux is superior but I
have, truly, ZERO problems with Windows 2K or XP, it just all works for me
and my business. If I could find a version of Linux that I could get up and
running in a reasonable amount of time (2 hours) that WORKED with what I
have, I would change in a second, but so far, Linux just is not up to date
with the real "Business" world yet. I have tried several times. If you ever
find a version, please let me know. It is not about experiencing Linux, I
have done that. In fact I used to setup and administrate all of the Motorola
Unix servers which was very similar, both Pre-GUI and post GUI, of course,
Linux has vastly improved on that.
