Now That is interesting! I was a beta tester for Xandros 4.. It really is
the best that I have used.. AFTER you apply the SP1 update that is!
I have a no-name laptop with an off the wall brand wireless..
Kubuntu,PCLinux,SimplyMepis did not detect the card nor was I able to
configure it..
I thru Xandros on it.. ran the updates and bingo! It saw it and I was able
to create a wireless connection. Now you throw in the reading AND writing
to NTFS.. Ill stick to Xandros. In fact Ill bring the home premium install
disks to the next install fest if anyone wants me too. The funny thing?
The "It just seems to work" is the unofficial motto for Xandros.

Apologies to thread readers.

I've read several places that Xandros has been one of the closest to
"perfect" wireless card recognition - it's been the easiest to set up.
However, without actually digging in and putting as much effort into
configuring Linux as an admin would for Windows, you aren't going to get
much further. Remember, Windows requires a lot of extra programs and
tweaking to make it usable. Linux _might_ require some driver work (may
need
ndiswrapper).

Good luck!
