[SATLUG] Screen Goes Blank

I've discovered a problem with several distros here lately thats driving me
buggy. It has happened in FC 5 & 6, Mandriva 2007, Kubuntu and now SUSE
10.2. After about 10 mins of the mouse not moving the screen goes blank,
after awhile it takes quite awhile for it to come back on. Makes for real
fun trying to watch a movie or read an article. I've turned off all the
power saver features I can find and the screen saver, I've also tried xset s
off with xset -dpms, but they only last until log out or restart the
machine. I've been around Linux long enough now to know that this has to be
setting in a file somewhere, in my spare time I've been searching files
trying to find it with no luck. If someone has discovered how to stop this
blanking permanently I would be very grateful for any help.
