[SATLUG] dumb and dummer or CRS

I'm starting to feel dumb and dumber. I've installed FC6  on hdb5 on a
250G drive and asked for grub to be in  the mbr of  hda. It will go into
XP every time. I checked the grub.conf (with knoppix) and all is
correct.  
Drives all ide:hda is primary channel 1, hdb is secondary channel 1 and two
DVD drives are primary and secondary on channel 2.
Did I miss something really dumb here? Go ahead and flame me I'm wearing
asbestos today.

BTW How many  got one of the WalMart specials? I almost  ventured out
myself.
