I didn't think my post was gonna receive any responses..
Being a stinkin', bleeding heart liberal, I know where you're coming from...
and I don't agree with 99% of what you said because it does not stand to
logic or reason. But I respect your beliefs...

However...by numbers alone-- it is a fact that evangelicals re-elected Bush
in '04. The race was in a dead heat...and the fundies got their base out.

And sorry to disagree with you... it is about morality... maybe not in the
most religious sense... but about simple truth vs non-truth. And the
non-truths aka lies about Iraq, has been getting our soldiers and
innocent Iraqis killed.

We are moral beings...and I believe that we MUST expect moral actions from
our government.

And as a pinko-stinky-liberal, I refuse to expect any different.

And I take issue with this...

"Suffice it to say that while their commitment to serve is admirable, their
willingness to commit and
condone murder against the people of a foreign land in an unprovoked,
unjustified war is not."

While I applaud your sense of moral outrage and seeming call for personal
accountability, our soldiers are good and decent men and women who don't
deserve to have their honor questioned. It is your, mine and every
American's honor that should be questioned. Why did we not do more to stop
this madness? Why did we fall for it? Why did we not call for resignations
earlier?
We owe it to the men and women who serve this country to make our leaders
accountable.
It is their ass that should be on the line not the children who we send to
fight stupid wars.
