As somebody who develops with Novell products on an almost daily  
basis, I honestly _want_ Microsoft to start suing the utter hell out  
of Linux companies that are not Novell.

As ugly as a patent litigation war would be, I really think it'll be  
the most beneficial to consumers in that it'll help drive some _much_  
needed intellectual property law reform. The patent system is an  
absolute mess, and just like unjust laws, it won't be nixed from the  
books until some sort of public outrage ensues.


We can speculate all we want, but really we'll just have to wait and  
see.
