I posed that question to a friend in Spring who runs a successful
Computer Repair Service shop. He said:

-------------

As far as I know, NO. I always set up the router after the modem. It ends
up as a double NAT.

Example -

Sprint to local(192.168.1.32) then router to another local (192.168.2.100).
You may need to set the range on the output router to something other than
the input. (192.168.1.* VS 192.168.2.*) To prevent conflicts.

This will allow sharing but will not allow WAN TO LAN access such as remote
login, PCAnyware, mail server, ETC. I have not had any trouble going from
LAN TO WAN however.

---------------

Hope that helps.
