If your asking can you use POP with Gmail the answer is yes, I use it 
everyday. Also if you have a blackberry you can use it to check your 
mail, RIM and Google have teamed up to allow mail to be pushed to the 
blackberry instead of pulled allowing you to get your personal e-mail 
faster than if your using a e-mail client. I believe yahoo has the same 
feature.
