I'm trying to open a PDF for my Calculus class. This book has some sort
of password protection on it. I purchased this E-Book legally....for 90
bucks and I'm having trouble opening it. I downloaded the latest *nix
version of Adobe reader from adobe.com and it meets the minimum version
for this book. But, it appears that the Linux version doesn't have DRM
built into it. I really don't want to throw XP on a laptop just so I can
open this E-Book.If I open it up with Adobe Reader, it says that it
cannot open the document because there is a missing plugin. I'm not sure
how to go about getting/installing this plugin since it doesn't say
which plugin I'm missing. Here are the instructions I received when I
purchased the book.

Before you begin the download process, please follow the basic steps listed
below to ensure an easy download of your eBook.

   1. Make sure you have the latest version of ADOBE Reader. Windows XP
requires
ADOBE Reader 7.0, minimum. You may download the latest reader at:
      http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
   2. Once the latest READER is installed, make sure to activate the
ADOBE DRM
(Digital Rights Management). If you are unsure how to activate the
DRM,
refer to the Troubleshooting page of the online HELP section.
   3. Clear your temporary internet files. If you are unsure how to do this,
refer to the Troubleshooting page of the online HELP section.
   4. Temporarily turn off any POP- Up blocker software that may be
installed on
your computer. Some of the most common types are YAHOO!, eBAY, Norton
Internet Security and McAfee. Please refer to the HELP section of your
POP-UP blocker software for specific instructions.

Anyone know where I should go from here?
