Ugh,I got this book opened now, but I had to do it through XP.I threw XP
on my laptop, installed Adobe Reader, then tried to open the doc. I got
this error saying I didn't have rights to open it. When I downloaded the
PDF from Gentoo, I saved the ebx.etd file. This had some info in it
which authorized me to download and open the file. I opened that up in
XP and it downloaded the PDF again. Then I had to "Activate DRM" within
Adobe, and it installed .NET framework and I had to sign up for an
account, REBOOT and finally I was able to open the book. Wow, I've never
gone through so much for a book. I figured I'd buy this version since
the book is good for all three of my Calculus classes and the text
version would be $174. Plus class starts next week and it would take
forever to get it from Amazon. Wow, I won't be buying books like this
again. So, now I'm printing section by section of a 1330 page book so I
can put Gentoo or Ubuntu on the laptop. I also tried to export the file
to a PDF with no restrictions, and used FedEx-Kinkos Internet Printing
service, no dice. It just wouldn't work. So, I'm stuck with this section
by section printing. D'oh!
