This is something J. Eddie Field told us about at the last meeting,
but I figured it'd be relevant to post to the list about.
This thursday from 8-11am at the El Tropicano Hotel there will be a
small-business conference hosted by the NFIB (www.nfib.com/tx), I'm
hoping it will be interesting from a small I.T. business perspective,
but if nothing else it'd be a good chance if any of you other
consultant-types want to meet up, swap war stories, clients-to-avoid
lists and such ;)
I'm not completely sure how I feel about the NFIB yet, but I
certainly think that given the amount that is at stake, especially in
the tech sector, an organization helping to push the small-business
agenda can't be all that bad (what the small-business agenda exactly
is, I'm not sure, but I guess its small ;))
I'm still iffy on whether or not i want to go, if there's anybody
else that'd like to team up and go, I'd be down with that, I just
don't want to show up in a room full of haggard old small business
owners that run clothes stores or something like that, and be the
only geek in sight ;)
Cheers.
