I don't think it does.  Changing the runlevel to 5 starts (x,k,g}dm and
I don't think that is what was wanted.

I will note that the solution of putting startx into ~/.bash_profile is
not very robust.  It would try to run X when a remote login via ssh is
done.  That may not be an issue for this situation.

Personally, I don't like any of the graphical logins because I do a lot
of fiddling with X and the last thing I want is a recursive problem when
starting X.  My solution is to type startx from the command line when I
want to start X, but thats me.
