I was considering getting car and house policies from them a few years
back, when the carrier I had then was discontinuing the level of
coverage I had on my house.  I was denied membership, because it had
been more than five years since I'd retired from the military.  I
thought that sounded rather arbitrary, so I've had nothing to do with
them.  I did go in for a job interview before that, and when I was
introduced to one of the IT teams, I asked if they were the UNIX shop.
The answer I got was, "No we work with AIX."  The headhunters I deal
with don't like working with USAA because a lot of their placements walk
out before the headhunters can earn their bonuses.
