<DISCLAIMER> I work for Red Hat. </DISCLAIMER>

Heh - I have actually not heard that comparo in a while.

Lest you have any doubts, I would direct you to (it's a little out of
date, but still relevant):

Red Hat has committed more lines to the Linux kernel, the gcc and glibc
toolchains than any other commercial entity. We've spent hundreds of
millions of dollars to build and buy cool technologies and released them
to the community as F/OSS. We're involved in One Laptop Per Child and
other philanthropic efforts. We release a full featured, very well
built distro (Fedora) for free. We've sent folks at our expense to
testify in the EU and the US about patent law and software freedom
issues. Our CEO testified at a Senate judiciary committee meeting about
Microsoft and antitrust. We were a co-founder of the Open Innovation
Network, ensuring that many of the biggest players on the patent field
will play nice.

How are we the "Microsoft of the Linux world, again?"

Thomas
