I disagree..
Per his email it dosent matter what the system is doing it will reboot in
about 5 min.
If the fax is running, then I would look at swapping out the memory, and
try removing the wireless card if one is installed.
Also can you please remove the HD and boot from a live cd and tell us what
happens?

Then, I would try to restore the operating system after backing up the
hard
drive to an external harddrive using a program such as Symantec Ghost. If
the operating system is messed up, then restore should fix the problem.
This
would be a first step before spending money at a shop to diagnose and fix
the problem.
