[SATLUG] open source fest

When I switched last year, I ran into many stumbling blocks with Mandriva.
I've had no problems with OpenSUSE 10.1 and 10.2 after moving in that
direction. The default installation plays almost all audio files, and it
took one session in YaST2 software installer to enable DVD and WMA/WMV
functionality.

I don't have a working printer at the moment (actually, haven't had one in
well over a year), so I can't say much on that end, but almost all of my
other peripherals work beautifully. The only thing that never worked
properly was my Saitek X45 split joystick/throttle assembly that I used for
X-Plane and M$ Flight Simulator.

Much of my Linux knowledge has evolved through trial and error. I know most
people wouldn't like to do that, but with the knowledge I've gained so far,
I'm confident enough to recommend the switch to my customers.
