[SATLUG] laptop encryption

I have no suggestions.. but this raises a concern I've had..
I've noticed that everyone here quite freely discloses a LOT of information
about systems that they work on.
And.. as we all know the SATLUG mail archives are searchable.

It struck me as I was reading this post, which does not disclose any
partidularly sensitive information,
that "archive-diving" could be as informative as "dumpster-diving"
for any cracker or black hat out there.

Just a thought.
