[SATLUG] [OT] Apple dmg's compressible?

Another option - does the split command work in OS X? It should, being
based on the Carnegie-Mellon Macro Kernel with BSD underpinnings. I
split large files all the time to record them to cheaper cdrom's than
burning up my dvd-r discs. I used to use split all the time for GIS
files when I was running MachTen on my Mac.
