IIRC, you can choose to limit the bandwidth available to the "other"
FON customers that would be using your network, so that you can
guarantee that you always have at least a certain amount of bandwidth
for yourself.
Of course, all this is doing is giving you a free WiFi router, and if
you already have one (or more) of those things, then this isn't
necessarily useful to you.
Now, there are competing alternatives where you can set the level of
money that would be charged to people who would use your AP, and you
get to keep almost all that money -- a certain amount of overhead is
taken off for managing the back-end billing and provisioning system,
but you get to keep the rest.
