I use a BartPE CD to do my firmware updates. Contact me offline, and I
could maybe help you rapidly develop a BartPE disk.
BTW, it irritates me a great deal that have to use a VMWare Windows OS with
MagicISO to edit ISO images, since no equivilient tool for Linux that I am
aware of. I do not want to have to recreate the image every time I update a
firmware file, for example. MagicISO lets me treat an ISO like a regular
document: Add/Remove/Edit files on the CD in place. The ability to `mount
-o rw -t iso9660 someiso.iso /mnt/iso` would be the "Best Thing Ever"(R).
