I have a lumber shop down south that I do comp work
for. They are a Windows shop and they use Quickbooks
to manage their inventory, clients, employees etc.
I've been doing their computer work for the past 3
years. At first it was rough since Windows ran
crappy. It smoothed out (thanks to me of course..lol)
and runs fine. Last year I had to reinstall Windows
on 3 machines, hd failure once, the other two, luser
hosed Windows (spyware) and it was quicker to get 'em
up and running with a reinstall.

So that got me to thinkin.. why not switch them to
Linux? My only problem is that they are using
Quickbooks and I need a program that is very similiar
that can run a business. Is SQL-Ledger the best?
Mybooks? Any other suggestions?

Pro's:
I stick it to microsoft and get rid of 5 licenses.
Solid system, dont have to worry about viruses,
spyware.

Cons:
Cuts into my profit because damn linux runs too well.
Maybe I can setup a cron job to hose something up
every few months.. LOL (j/k)
