I don't know about that. There was a 'mental midget' who was told by
CPS that his tall tree -had- to come down, and that they weren't
responsible for trimming the tree, because it was too far inside his
backyard fence line. Aforementioned mental midget decides to tie one
end of a rope around the top of the tree, and the other end of the rope
to the bumper of his Suburban. He proceeded to drag the tree down, and
across the distribution lines. The whole neighborhood was without power.

You can bet I was surprised (after scouting around to find out what the
problem was) to see a Time-Warner truck, heading to the local
neighborhood router location with a small, trailered generator. The
ROUTER had power for the neighborhood, but the neighborhood did not.

Are there Business Class customers in the area? I don't know. But the
electricity was out for a 'solid' 10 hours. Would someone in a house
have a UPS that was good for 10 hours?

If they're 120v primary UPS's, then changing the plug shouldn't be a
priority. Still, it would have to be modified.

How much?
(reply off-list with price)
