[SATLUG] roadrunner?

Well I've never had any major service issues with these folks. What I have
had is horrible experiences with their customer service/technical support
folks.

They deleted the account that I had with them for more than eight years
"accidentally" (meaning that a customer service clerk deleted my account
when she didn't follow proper protocol when swapping out my cable modem back
in february 06 but didn't tell anyone and then regenerated my accounts
quietly and didn't tell me or anyone else. As a result I lost my accounts
forever and they claim that "there is no way to recreate those accounts" 

Plus they didn't give me one shred of compensation for this error and the
fact that I couldn't access my accounts or email for several weeks.

Add to that the sheer smugness...they refuse to carry all local hd
broadcasts, they refuse to act in the consumer's best interest so as of
tomorrow...I'm dumping them.

I'll be on the lower speed DSL but I'll be able to thumb my nose at their
mistreatment. Their CSR's and the corporate response group need to know that
they cannot treat people like dirt and expect to keep them as customers, nor
can they expect those customers to keep paying thousands of dollars a year
(multiply 165x12) for their bad customer service.

For most of what I do the lower speed will be just fine...I hope. We'll see
shortly.

What I will need is a crash course on installing DSL into my wifi network
which up till now was cable.
