I took mine one step farther.  :)  I actually logged into the modem
configuration web page and configured it to bridge the IP address
right to my linux box instead of assigning it 192.168.1.47.  This lets
my linux box get the real IP directly from the ISP.  This helps in the
routing of my Amateur Radio BBS.  The only drawback is when you try
and get tech support, but of course, that's always the drawback when
working with linux and your ISP.
