[SATLUG] G/Parted + NTFS

I am looking for first-hand experiences with the following.  I'd like to 
use gparted to resize a 2000 (SP3) server's filesystems .  It's a 
hardware RAID 5 with the slicing looking like the following:

    C:               4G     NTFS (600 Megs free)
    D:               98G   NTFS (40G free)

The goal is to increase C: with some of the unused space from D: without 
having to restore from backups after the resize/move.  I'm sure if I 
plop-down  $70 for Partition Magic, this is doable without running into 
any restore non-sense.  Is that true for gparted?
