You may have to pay her a visit, the summer before last when my buddie got
his DSL through SBC (now AT&T), I had to go to his place and make the
service calls. The first call I made sounded like someone who took my last
job, on the second call I got an american. They attempted to get me to
believe that the connection couldn't be done without the CD, when I informed
them that I was a former Earthlink DSL and Wireless tech they gave in. All
that is needed is to sign into the modem, it'll want the MAC addy and you'll
need to get the POP # & DNS servers from them. It might work if she's in
the same part of town as my buddie, but this is the info that I used to get
his connected:

http://192.168.0.1
Modem Access Code: **********

Pop #: 228-3410
DNS:
          Pri - 151.164.1.8
          Sec - 206.13.28.12

He lives on the NW side of town, if they're still using the SBC setup it
should work anywhere in SA. Sorry I can't give you more detail, but my
memory is a little foggy on the layout of the screens.

The box said:
"Requires Windows 95 or better."
So I installed LINUX
