[SATLUG] Where would you send a newbie?

I write about Linux every chance I get because the more I use Linux, the
more sense it makes to me.  Today I'm annoyed about this:

This is just the most recent annoying thing AKH has written.  I can't change
the things he's complaining about but maybe I can help change them.  I'm
going to start addressing newbies in my Lockergnome blog posts and I'm going
to contact somebody who has something to do with each well established
distro and make them aware of this article.

You needn't respond to me, but any positive response you can make to Mr.
Kingsley-Hughes' charges would be appreciated by at least one newbie.
