I think what most people are missing is 'how much' is being charged.

I don't know about y'all, but this leads -ME- to believe, that Louis is 
paying $24/mo, total, for a POTS line w/DSL on it.

That, in and of itself, is not a bad deal. 

I however, -hate- the telephone company.  Period.
