It largely depends on the heatsink. If it is the stock AMD, I wouldn't
chance it. If it is an aftermarket, then ask the manufacturer or look it up
on their site. I tend to buy my processors retail so I get the blessed and
approved heatsink, even if I don't end up using it.
Bottom line, if you have any doubts, spend the couple extra bucks to get a
new heatsink.
