[SATLUG] Microsoft WGA calls home even when you tell it NOT to

Since this seems to be "beat on Microsoft" week, thought you might be

I personally experienced this today, on a laptop that I use for work.
The WGA update asked if I wanted to install it and I clicked on "No"
and hit Submit.  Immediately ZoneAlarm pops up an alert stating that
the WGA tool is trying to make an outbound connection.  I let it
through, but it certainly raised an eyebrow . . .
