LOLOL!!!!  Btw, CuteFTP is made here in San Antonio.. 
 You must not have had a cracked version but just a
keyfile.  Nowadays alot of software tries to call home
but this big brother stuff is annoying.  I wouldnt be
suprised if a skilled pira..software engineer found a
way to disable that "feature".
