I haven't tried remote logins, but I know that when I am using Blender, 
I cannot use Beryl. All I get is a black screen where Blender should be. 
Turn Metacity on, and Blender is there in all its glory. For me, I think 
that because Beryl relies on openGL, it is somehow preventing Blender to 
render its interface which also relies on openGL. I guess we should 
remember that Beryl is only v0.2. It will surely get better.

Something I want to try is using the Wiimote to spin the Beryl cube. I 
just love this stuff.
