[SATLUG] Backtrack 2.0

The good news is I found a live security distro I really like - BackTrack 2.0:
http://www.remote-exploit.org/projects.html
The bad news is, like every other flavor of Linux I've tried on this
laptop, ALSA is broken. Unfortunately Backtrack doesn't seem to have
any timeout for the error, so when I boot I get an endless loop of
this:
hda_codec: invalid dep_range_val 0:7fff
Any pointers on how I could disable this? Or maybe somehow remaster
the distro so that it doesn't try to load alsa modules at boot?
