This is one of the biggest problems with Linux usability. Just about
the time hardware becomes supported and drivers are available, a new
generation of hardware comes out that is not supported (think USB
wifi, WPA2 encryption, etc). And we're back to square one, the same
situation we had with winmodems ten years ago.
I'm going to advise him to go with one of these ethernet-to-wireless
bridges, so we can avoid the whole painful process.
