Hector, if you don't mind my asking how did you set up the
workstations?  You didn't mention any particular distro or OS, so I'm
guessing they are probably running Windows 98 or NT?  What you might
consider doing is using LTSP system to run them as X-windows
terminals.  This way you could continue to easily add more boxes as
you got donations, and administration is a snap since you really only
have one box to configure.

A modest server like this could easily power 24 workstations:

You might even convince a local business or vendor to donate the
server, esp. if you have a non-profit organization.
