I remember working for ATT in 1989 and at the New Jersey facility, I saw
their first mice attached to terminals they were about to throw away. I
was amazed at the size and weight of these monster terminals with these
ugly 3 button mice. They looked like half of a tennis ball with 3 keys
from an old keyboard attached. They had the post and springs and stood
high. These old ATT terminals were from the 1970's for use with the XEROX
systems. I felt honored and sad that the same time; helping them load
these windowing forefathers to the scrap heap. I can actually say that I
held one in my hand.
Thank you XEROX - what a great idea.
