[SATLUG] Need help with... windows...

Well there are three things you should still look into:

1.  That all of the codecs are installed properly
2.  Try moving the speaker wire to each of the ports and see if one
magically has volume for the browser stuff.  (again, I know this makes
no sense at all, but I have seen this happen before)
3.  Make some registry hacks to redirect the wavemapper:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32 [add new
string value named wavemapper with value msacm32.drv]

That should get you farther along if not fixed.
