Source Mage as a distro evaluated many CMS's and we decided on git as it
was more capable than bzr was at the time. Git does everything we need
it to do and more. It's not backed by any corporation, but it's what's
used to track the kernel, so I don't think it's going away any time soon.
Also, we had our repo in perforce before. The git guys built us an
importer. Like they coded it up for us because we said we were coming
from perforce. "Customer" support from git has been the best ever.
