When I lived in Hawaii, I used the Kill-a-Watt to measure my
computer's electricity consumption.  I wasn't too surprised to find
the computer cost about $1.00 a day to run 24x7.  This was the reason
I got a NAS in the first place.  Cost per kw/hour is a lot less here
in Texas, but it's still nice to have an always-on file server that's
quiet and reliable.
